I haven't seen Danny Phantom in the longest time, so can someone please explain this comic to me? Who is that girl? Did Danny die or just flee? Did he transform from ghost to human right as he was shot or something else? Very lost here. Any help is appreciated}

the girl is his mother, maddie, who's a ghost hunter and was, well, hunting him. since he's a ghost, heh.

i'm pretty sure he died, since it appears that the person behind her was his ghost (??? or something) and faded away in a whisp of ectoplasm.
he ran away and i think slowly transformed while he was running away, hence the green ectoplasm/blood slowly turning into human blood. then he died in that room i think?
