Yeah, that is sorta what I'm saying. Because it's my first time I'm not sure how much character design/prop design I should do before I actually begin my comic. So, I'm sorta trying to model myself after you. Like, how long did you spend during that stage of character design? Weeks, months, years?
Well, character design is easy. You can do it in a matter of days. Character personality and background is somewhat different. ESPECIALLY their personality. Say, if your character is suddenly put into a life-threatening situation, would they be weak-hearted enough to visibly cower in fear or courageous enough to face them? (Or somewhere in between). I-It's kinda difficult to explain. >_>;;; But there are some writing tutorials out there, you just have to google them.
Ok thanks. Here is my last and most important question. How do you come up with such rich dialogue and story? Like whenever, i read your comics even if it's about the most trivial thing it still comes out very interesting. Hard to explain the feeling i get from your work. Like, I just did comic strip the other day and it turned out dry and tasteless. So, long question short, how do you come up with your stories? Is it spontaneous and on the go or do you think about for days editing the story and whatnot.
